How does Zion share the love of God?

We invite

Zion has an “open door” policy. All persons are welcome to worship and participate in the life of the congregation. Our worship service invites participation by the congregation. Sunday School is open to all neighborhood children. You do not have to have a Lutheran background in order to come to the church. 

We give

Zion contributes to the Merriam Park Food Shelf as one of its main mission projects. We give both money and food. The 1^st Sunday of each month is ‘food shelf” Sunday.

We support.

Another mission project is supporting students at the MaaSae girls’ secondary school in Tanzania, Africa through Operation Bootstrap Africa. This year once again we are supporting four students. We communicate together through letters and pictures.

We also support the Hamline-Midway Block Nurse Program.
