ABOUT
On this corner of Lafond and Aldine since 1912, Zion (ELCA) seeks to be a place of grace, a place of prayer, a place of hospitality and a place of service to our neighbors in need. We are Lutheran in emphasis, but welcome all persons regardless of skin tone, beliefs, or way of self-identifying. Zion is:

Traditional, and willing to question and challenge tradition.
Informal, with appreciation for formality, liturgy, and mystery.
A long history, and open to new ideas.
Small, and strong.
Challenging ourselves to recognize poverty in ourselves and around us--to give, serve and advocate without judgment.
Giving and sharing because we've received grace upon grace.
Welcome, whoever you are.
